Boston Phoenix is asking the PPP girls to do some cut-out Valentine's Day cards

for the paper.

The "named your penis" image is a little new for me.

But, I enjoyed branching out into a different type of illustration.

Check the Boston Phoenix around Valentine's Day (not just to scan over the heavy adult section...)to see which image they'll pick!

So, because my Mom is the best, she helped me buy a new Apple computer for Xmas.

Yes, I'm pretty pumped.

Not only am I pumped that this is the newest computer I've had since 2005, but its got one of those sweet built-in cameras!

With... photo booth!

I know photo booth is sort of "last year", but I've never had it. So, I'm still excited.

Developing new types of performance art as we speak!

Just wanted to update the universe on some great stuff that's happening:

Paint Pens in Purse, my amazing all female art collective, will be having a book release party on December 4th at the Goodlife Bar in Boston. More information to come, I assure you.
I have been offered an educational Artist Residency at the New Mission High School that will hopefully start sometime in late November. I'm very excited about this opportunity, and will be launching a blog for the after-school studios held once a week.
I made my first quiche a couple nights ago, and it turned out great.

Keep on checking the blog for more artwork and junk. Since I got this residency, I'll be punching art out like drunks on St. Patrick's Day.

It is always better to work with friends, and she has to be one of the most positive energy in my life, to date.

Cat Suit in ACTION!

My Senior Show performance of The Cat Suit

The performance lasted as long as it took for me to finish two pints in the gallery.
You can see that I customized the beer labels in some of the pictures.

I also had a statement that went with the performance:
The physical manifestation of this item proved to be quite difficult, not only sculpturally, but emotionally as well. The Cat Suit has been represented in my comics and art pieces as a figurative form of dysfunction and pain. The Cat Suit is heavy and overpowering, uncomfortable, not easy to move in, and embarrassing. These same characteristics are also my own personal views on what it is like to function in society and what it is like to exist as a child of an alcoholic. What has constructed my Cat Suit has been 23 years of parental neglect, emotional and verbal abuse, dishonesty, and a variety of events and moments no living, breathing individual should have to go through.
I just want to exist with all of you, and feel normal.

But sadly, I can’t. I never will.
